Hey guys!! Today was a fun day for us!! We started off with making caramel apples at Jim and Shelley’s for New Horizon’s Ice Cream day! We had never made them before, and Jimmy wasn’t there to coach us through it. Our first bowl of caramel exploded in the microwave, but after that we were pros at it!! We get to make them again for Santa Rita tomorrow!! Oh, I also feed Lucha and Fije some caramel, and now they are my bestest friends!

We had an amazing lunch!! Can yall guess what it was?? Yep! Peanut Butter and Jelly!! My favorite!! After lunch, Shelley, Brittany and I left early to go buy Ice Cream for our Party. Well, guess what! Sarita’s, the ice-cream store, was closed. So we went to like 5 other stores looking for ice- cream and all we found was rum raisin! Sounds good, huh??? So we just prayed that the store in New Horizon’s would happen to have ice-cream. Yeah, nope! It was closed too! Shelley just so happened to forget the projector and computer for the movie, so she had to go back to El Chal and pick it up. So now we were praying that the ice-cream store would be open by the time she got back there. Brittany and I stayed in New Horizon’s and decorated for our party! It was so hot, but we had a good time with some of the girls that came and helped us! And we didn’t find any exotic animals this time!! Well, Shelley came back with ice-cream, the projector, and the computer!!
During this whole time…Jimmy was still in the city waiting for the ac to get fixed that didn’t happen yesterday because of the tire problem! Well, after waiting 6 hours and $90 later it still isn’t fixed! He did get to get breakfast from Burger King and finish this amazing book, Jungle Breezes! After his breakfast he was pretty bored, so he went walking around Flores looking for a canoe. He met this guy who said he could take a boat across the lake to the other side, and there is a man who will actually make him one. He had to climb this mountain, and found the guy, and he is going to make them a 6 foot canoe for only $24!!!! So Monday we are going to go there and pick it up! Jimmy said it is an amazing view, so we are both looking forward to taking pictures!
Jimmy was finally able to meet us at New Horizons for our party!! We had tons of ice-cream, every topping imaginable and caramel apples! We watched the veggie tale movie Minnesota Cuke in Spanish! It was hilarious!! After ice cream we played a ton of games! We started out with Pictionary, and then we played this crazy balloon hopping game…video later to post…then a water game with extremely hot bath water! Then we played the second best game ever from TYC, Body Part Bingo!! The kids absolutely loved it!! Afterwards we played their all time favorite game, dodge ball! Man, are they vicious!! I think they would have kept playing until they dropped dead! It was a great day in New Horizons!!!
We got to go back to our hotel for a while, so Brit and I took a dip in the awesome pool to cool down! I then crashed extremely hard for like 15 minutes, but so hard that Brittany had to pretty much pull me out of bed! She even thought I was dead for a minute! Now we are at Jim and Shelley’s getting ready to eat a late dinner! Baked fish and veggies!! Sounds delicious!! Tomorrow we will be going to Santa Rita to do pretty much the exact same thing, but with three times as many kids!! Thanks for all your prayers! I want to close with this passage of scripture I read this morning!
“Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
